---Dr. Bradley's Sad Encounter in the ER

I ran across this weblog entry by Dr. Bradley and it reminded me of ER scenes most common among government hospitals here in the Philippines.

This happens almost on a daily basis here. Who's to blame? The doctor? The X-ray technician? Or heaven forbid, the patient?!?

My fellow doctors might despise me but my heart always goes to the suffering patient. After all, pain alleviation is still one of our responsibilities, right? That is why we are here.

A thinning patience and a busy atmosphere are no excuses.
