When Will It Stop?

I don't know if you can clearly see the caption in this image (from the NYTimes) which I encircled in red. Here's a blow-up of that section:

I wonder how it feels to be a surgeon in this place.

So damn crazy, right?

They fight, then what? It's so hard to read the news these days. That is why I don't like reading the newspaper first thing in the morning. It affects how the rest of my day will go. And since majority of the news is bad news, I put it off because I don't want to start my day on the wrong note. Ah, my insides ache when I see pics and stories like this one.

I know this question is a cliche and no longer serves any purpose.

Is the world (and Iraq) a safer place now that the Alliance led by the US has invaded Iraq? Collin Powers was quoted to have said that he took issue with those who say the world is not a safer place these days. I take issue with those who say that the world is a safer place.

I believe it is the responsibility of all of us to contribute what we can to help ease the suffering there. We should contribute money (the least we could do) to buy medical supples, repair hospitals, fund medical workers, etc. to help those injured. Let's not wait for the Alliance countries to do more. All the people in Baghdad may die before adquate help comes from these countries. They are not finishing the jog they started with so much fanfare.

Sorry for the several typo errors, Dr Emer. Being frustrated about the issue does not help in the typing! :)

If the bombings in Iraq do not stop --- suicidal or otherwise --- there will come a time when there will be no Iraqi left in Iraq. I wonder if that's an endpoint anybody wants, Bayi.
