Why not? Actually that's a strong Filipino trait,look at how the expats,OFW have been helping their families back home...

SAKURA: Giving money to family is common and expected, but giving money to people you don't know can be a real challenge...especially when you're planning to give billions and billions of dollars. Hello to Sachiko, too!
