For the past several weeks, forwarded emails and text messages have been circulating the inboxes of people here in the Philippines warning of an 8.1 magnitude earthquake set to happen any time today. A Brazilian psychic (scientist?!?) who goes by the name, Juseleeno Nobulega Daroose or maybe the more correct --- Jucelino Nóbrega da Luz (they sound the same, anyway) is said to have made the prediction. I have heard more and more people even planning not go to work today and even telling their children to skip school.
No need to panic, guys. No one can predict earthquakes yet. That is nothing but a hoax.
